Fresh turmeric is cured for obtaining dry turmeric. The fingers are separated from mother rhizomes. Curing involves boiling of fresh rhizomes in water and drying in the sun. In the traditional method of curing, the cleaned rhizomes are boiled in water just enough to immerse them. Turmeric processing plant has a characteristic musky, earthy aroma and a pungent, slightly bitter flavor.



Turmeric Bulb specially extracted from the home cities of turmeric, i.e. the Erode and Salem. The bulb is packaged in its whole form readily available for your use; the turmeric bulbs come freshly picked and are strikingly golden in color.

There are no long-term studies to show whether it's safe to take turmeric supplements every day. Studies suggest it is safe at small doses, but be aware that high doses or long-term use may cause GI issues in some people. Turmeric may also interfere with certain medication and health conditions.

Ground turmeric comes from fingers which extend from the root. There are approximately 30 varieties have been recognized in the type of Curcuma in which turmeric belongs. Amalapuram, Armour, Dindigam, Erode, Krishna, Kodur, Vontimitra, P317, GL Purm I and II, RH2 and RH10 are some popular Indian varieties among them.
